Location:
Haruka Furusaka's House & Studio in Abeno, Osaka
Street:
〒545-0032大阪市阿倍野区晴明通14-8

Come out and spend a summer afternoon on the floor of the beautiful old Osaka house/studio of woodblock print artist Haruka Furusaka. Watch the light shift from day to night. Listen and watch six improvising performers blending their various sounds and motions into the narrow back streets of an old Abeno neighborhood.

Bring your favorite zabuton cushion to sit on and possibly win a prize in the Zabuton Contests. (There are only a few chairs, so this event is BYOS: Bring Your Own Seat.) You'll probably be happy if you bring your own hand fan, also.

Directions:
Haruka's house is about 5 minutes walking from Higashi Tengachaya station on the street car line. Here are directions for getting to the streetcar:

When you come into Osaka, take either the JR Loop Line or Midosuji subway to Tennoji Station. The street car terminal station is at Tennoji. Go to Midosuji Subway exit 11. That exit comes out right at the streetcar station. If you can't find the streetcar station, just ask the Midosuji station man. Street car is called Chinchin Densha in Japanese. Get on the street car and ride it 3 stops south to Higashi Tengachaya.

See the attached flyer and map from the Higashi Tengachaya, or check this google map to Haruka's house: http://maps.google.co.jp/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=ja&brcurrent=3%2C0x6000ddbff868f045%3A0x6110cb3b1f4807f9%2C0&msa=0&msid=108811331419354023500.000477637d4d6ceed087b&z=19
