Dual Duos: May 30th, Elixir

A Double Fix of Improvisational What-The-Fuckness

Rick Tuazon & Garry Lindon
Jerry Gordon & Mikio Ebihara

Anatomy of a Duo

"Small enough that a listener never loses track of the distinct sounds erupting from the individual players, a DUO is the most exposed and risk-laden of musical units. (A soloist doesn't have to read someone else's mind.) But, due to its stripped-down and intimate nature, a DUO can move, turn quick and rocket off in new
directions with the greatest flexibility. When a it flies, it soars. When it crashes, it burns."

-- I. Manuel Tzara

On Saturday May 30th, come out to Elixir and hear the pairings of [Rick Tuazon & Garry Lindon] and [Jerry Gordon & Mikio Ebihara] weave their improvised sounds in ways that may delight your better angels, reach down your throat to break the mirror in your heart or push the limits of your patience.

You'll know what it is when you hear it.

The event starts at 8:30PM and the plan is for each duo to play one set, followed by a third set of   2 + 2 = 4  that will finish the evening.
